Lara Ricote, an Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer, is a Mexican-American-Venezuelan comedian and writer based in Amsterdam. She won the Funny Women Stage Award in 2021 and the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer in 2022 for her debut solo show GRL/LATNX/DEF, which reflects her experiences as a hard-of-hearing Latina. Performing in English and Spanish across Europe and Latin America, Lara has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mel Giedroyc’s Unforgivable, QI, Comedy Central Live, and World’s Most Dangerous Roads.
